He was born and lives in Florence but, after attending Vittorio Gassman’s Bottega Teatrale, he moves to Rome. His first appearance was in La famiglia of Ettore Scola as Julius. Later he played the physicist Emilio Segrè in I ragazzi di via Panisperna by Gianni Amelio. The character who reveals it to the attention of the general public is Trevi in La piovra 4 alongside Michele Placido. He alternates between television and film roles of great intensity among which we remember “Il Biondo” in the film Il partigiano Johnny by Guido Chiesa, and “Renzo” the father of Francesco in Il signor Quindicipalle by Francesco Nuti. He is Paolo in La vita come viene by Stefano Incerti. He is a very appreciated actor in France, where he usually works both in television series and in the cinema. Among the many films in which he has participated: Salle Gosse by Claude Mourieras, Premier Cercle by Laurent Tuel alongside Jean Reno. He is directed by great directors such as Gabriele Muccino in Ricordati di me (2003) and Pupi Avati in Il figlio più piccolo (2010). On television, we see him appearing in many fictions loved by the Italian public such as Il commissario Rex (1995), Un posto al sole (2003), Don Matteo (2006), R.I.S. – Delitti imperfetti (2009), Provaci ancora prof 5 (2013), I Cesaroni 6 (2014).
